Vondelgym offers multiple disciplines under one roof. Everything in the gym happens in one room, so you really get the energy from all the lessons at the same time. Even our hospitality area is spatially connected to the sports area. In addition, we found it important to pursue the old-fashioned sports club feeling; a place where you know people and are greeted upon arrival. The quality of our trainers is also very important, and all our trainers follow our own training program. We are mainly focused on group lessons, something that supports the social aspect. Enjoyment in sports comes first, not necessarily the aesthetic aspect of it. That is a result, not a goal.

We offer CrossFit, HYROX, (kick) box training, yoga/mobility/pilates, running, Strongher, powerlifts and regular strength training. We also offer a separate program for the youth (Youngsters), which covers all these disciplines.

CrossFit is a way of training that combines Olympic weightlifting, athletics and gymnastics. During the training, functional movements are performed in a varied way at a high intensity as quickly as possible. The philosophy behind CrossFit is not to specialize in one specific sport component because this would lead to unilateral physical development.

HYROX is a combination of running and strength training. The competition element ensures that HYROX has grown enormously quickly and is extremely popular. At our locations in Amsterdam East and South and Rotterdam, we offer plenty of HYROX lessons. Whether you want to prepare for an official HYROX competition or just want to follow the training sessions, anything is possible. Vondelgym is an official HYROX gym.

(Kick) boxing we offer in various categories: technical (kick) box training or bag training, more focused on fitness. We also offer technical lessons where the bag is not used. In addition, we also offer fundamentals, for beginners and there are sparring lessons. The differences are indicated in the schedule.

Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual exercises or disciplines that originated in ancient India. It promotes physical and mental health. Nowadays, less attention is paid to the spiritual side of Yoga and physical exercises are performed in the form of a workout. Within Yoga, you have differences in intensity and form. Vinyasa, Flow, Bikram and many more. We offer various forms of yoga.

Yin yoga
Silence, calm and deep stretches. This practice is a relaxing practice where we stretch the body. Postures are held for 5 minutes or longer. Experience peace by turning inward. Ideal on a rest day, after a workout, or after a busy day at work.

Sweat & flow
A fast and dynamic flow. Postures are held a little longer (around 6 breaths). This is the ideal class for beginning yogis who want to experience flow but still stability. Balance, strength and rest in the mind are practiced.

Breathwork
The influence of the breath is great. In the Breathwork classes, you consciously work with the breath to experience how you can influence and improve your physical and mental state. Whether you want to learn how to deal better with stress, experience more balance and rest, or optimize your physical and mental activities.

MOGY
Mogy is a combination of Mobility and Yoga and offers lessons for functional, relevant and playful movement;

Mogy Yoga Fundamentals
Mogy Yoga Fundamentals gives you an introduction to functional yoga. This is the perfect lesson for beginners or people looking for a lesson where they can find their perfect pose in peace and quiet.

Mogy Yoga Recovery
Mogy Yoga Recovery is a gentle yoga class where big muscles and joints get some extra love with dynamic stretches, functional movements and some yin poses. Go from fight-or-flight to your recovery mode/relaxation mode.

Mogy yoga Flow
Mogy Yoga Flow is a functional training, with controlled/smooth movements, your own body weight and the will to listen to your body. Flow is an active class, where you move from one yoga pose to another (vinyasa style).


Mobility and flexibility. The extent to which the body has sufficient mobility and flexibility indicates the quality of exercise. It is a low-intensity but very challenging training because of the high focus on execution. This form of training does not use heavy weights and is mainly focused on restoring and/or increasing the body's mobility and flexibility. This allows you to move better, and the risk of injuries is significantly reduced. So-called “activation exercises” that are reviewed can well be used as warm-up/cool-down stretches. Keywords; Muscle activation, quality of movement, lack of flexibility, injury prevention, recovery, low intensity, greater range of motion in motion.

Running,
every day, you can run under supervision at Vondelgym. Our trainers work with you on endurance, speed and strength and are happy to help you reach your running goal.

Fitness, Classic strength training. Iron... dumbbells, barbells, benches, squat racks, and so on. This branch needs little explanation. Free training is possible at Vondelgym, but some things are also offered in groups, such as our circuit lessons and Sterk 60+.

Strongher is a strength training lesson especially for women in the broadest sense of the word. The lesson is also suitable for pre- and post-natal sports.

Powerlifting is a strength sport that focuses on three major movements; the bench press, deadlift and squat.

Youngsters
Youngsters is our youth branch. We teach at schools in the city and, of course, in the gym. Fun is central to all lessons; moving in a playful way. Think Kids CrossFit, Taekwondo, MMA (Superhero Training) Football Gym, Boot Camp and Kickboxing.

From 2024, Vondelgym will introduce new subscriptions. For members who joined before 2024, their current membership remains unchanged, with the exception of the inflation adjustment; nothing changes for them.

From 2024, the Vondelgym subscriptions will be tied to one main location. When you sign up, choose your main location. If you want to change it, you can request that by emailing office@vondelgym.nl.

There are differences in access hours (regular or off-peak hours) and differences in access to CrossFit and HYROX classes (none, 1/2/3 times a week or twice a day).

Regular subscription:
With a regular subscription, you can train with us from 6:30 to 22:30 (weekend until 20:00) at one of our locations in East, West and South. In Rotterdam, that's from 6:00 a.m. The costs start at €79.50 per 4 weeks. You can take all classes except CrossFit and HYROX. Do you also want to follow CrossFit and/or HYROX? Then you can choose from the following options:

  • Regular without CrossFit/HYROX is €79.50 per 4 weeks
  • Regular + 1 credit for CrossFit/HYROX per week is €84.50 per 4 weeks
  • Regular + 2 credits for CrossFit/HYROX per week is €89.50 per 4 weeks
  • Regular + 3 credits for CrossFit/HYROX per week is €94.50 per 4 weeks
  • Regular + 2 credits for CrossFit/HYROX per day is €99.50 per 4 weeks

Off-peak subscription:
With an off-peak subscription, you can train at your main location (west, south, east or Rotterdam) from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 and on weekends from 12:00 to 20:00. The costs start at €62.50 per 4 weeks. You can take all classes except CrossFit and HYROX. Do you also want to follow CrossFit and/or HYROX? Then you can choose from the following options:

  • Off-peak hours without CrossFit/HYROX is €62.50 per 4 weeks
  • Off-peak hours + 1 credit for CrossFit/HYROX per week is €67.50 per 4 weeks
  • Off-peak hours + 2 CrossFit/HYROX credits per week is €72.50 per 4 weeks
  • Off-peak hours + 3 CrossFit/HYROX credits per week is €77.50 per 4 weeks
  • Off-peak hours + 2 CrossFit/HYROX credits per day is €82.50 per 4 weeks

Regular and off-peak annual subscriptions:
When you take out an annual subscription, you get a one-period discount (so you pay 12 periods instead of 13).

  • Annual subscription (regular and everything except CrossFit and HYROX) is €954 per year (cannot be canceled monthly)
  • Annual subscription (off-peak hours and everything except CrossFit and HYROX) is €750 per year (cannot be canceled monthly)

Running subscription:
This subscription is for running classes only. The costs are €48, - per 4 weeks. You can sign up for this membership via this link: link

Partner subscription:

If your partner is already training with us (with a regular subscription), you can request it by email; office@vondelgym.nl. You get a €10 discount on the regular subscription. Please send us proof of your partner status. For example, this could be a copy of your joint account.

Corporate subscription:
You can work out with us through your company, or take a class with your colleagues. For all information and (price) agreements, please contact corporate@vondelgym.nl

Our target group is very broad. The majority consists of young people, between the ages of 23 and 40, with all different social backgrounds. We also offer lessons for children, teenagers and people over 50. Members aged 75+ can come and work out for free. We also have special classes for women who are pregnant or have just given birth and we also organize clinics for people with disabilities, for example.

That depends on your subscription.

The members from 2023 and before can train at all locations with their subscription.

Members from 2024 and beyond can only access their subscriptions main location training.

With a strip card, weekly or monthly pass, you can always train at all locations.

Are you a new member and would you like to train at all locations? This is possible via an add-on. For €15 per 4 weeks, you can train at all locations. Please mail to office@vondelgym.nl if you would like to turn it on.

The minimum subscription period is 2 x 4 weeks.

Do you want to come and train for one month? Then opt for a monthly pass (€130 without CrossFit classes and €155 with CrossFit classes).

For each new registration, we charge a one-off fee of €15, then you are registered and you will receive a welcome bag with goodies.

Yes, both of them! A weekly pass costs €57.50 and starts from the moment you purchase it.

We also sell monthly passes, which cost €130 (without CrossFit classes) and €150 including CrossFit classes.

We sell day passes, which cost €19.50. This allows you to participate in a lesson or train yourself. If you want to participate in a class, you can reserve it via the special “widget” at the bottom right of this website. Of course, you can also always walk into one of our gyms and buy a day pass at the counter.

Our notice period is a full period of four weeks, after completion of the current period. If you cancel, you will terminate any remaining period of the current four weeks and your subscription will continue until the end of the following four weeks.

In Rotterdam, we have a special membership for people over 60. With this membership, you have access during the week (Monday to Friday) from 9:00 to 17:00. On the weekend, you have access to the gym from 11:00 to 20:00. The rate is €45.50 per 4 weeks with a one-off registration fee of €15.

Course offerings
- CrossFit is a way of fitness that combines weightlifting (for very lightweight kids such as PVC tubes, wooden sticks and lightweight), athletics and gymnastics in one form of training. During the training, functional movements are performed in a varied way at a high intensity as quickly as possible.
- Boot camp is a muscle strengthening training method performed in a team under the professional guidance of a fitness instructor. The goal is to improve strength and endurance through exercises (safe for kids) over the period of one hour.
- Football gym is getting to know football in a playful way and learning the associated techniques.
- Boxing is a tactical combat sport that focuses on ring insight, the coordination of feet, eyes and hands and fitness.

Through training, a child develops self-confidence, discipline, physical health, coordination, and self-defense.

Sure! From 2024, we will have a special student subscription. This costs €54, - per 4 weeks. You can then train during off-peak hours (Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 and on the weekend from 12:00 to 20:00). You can take all classes except CrossFit.

On these dates, we automatically debit the subscription fee from your account. These periods match the cycles of your subscription. If you choose to cancel your subscription, first complete the current period you are currently in. This is followed by one more billing cycle of 4 weeks before your subscription is officially terminated.

That is certainly possible. You can email office@vondelgym.nl and it's best to switch at the end of your four weeks that you've already paid. There are no further costs involved.

Note: if you have not received a confirmation within 14 days, please email us again. Without confirmation, your cancellation may not have gone through properly.

You can only pause your membership if you are injured and have a doctor's certificate, or if you are pregnant. Then we can pause your membership for a maximum of 6 months with a minimum of one month. So this is not possible if you go on vacation for a longer period of time. In that case, you can choose whether to cancel or continue the subscription.

Please note; one month's notice applies when cancelling. Taking a break retroactively is not possible, so report your injury in time. You can report it by emailing to office@vondelgym.nl
